A slice of Congo in CT
I have huge admiration for the entrepreneurial Congolese and Nigerians who own shops in Woodstock, they really offer one stop shopping. This shop is a hairdressing salon, food shop, restaurant (you can buy pondu or body lotion off the same menu), internet cafe and microwaven/frizzeer repairs all under one roof. Oh wait, its a laundromat too. 24 hrs a day. Beat that.

Saucy Housewife
I spent happy hours in my kitchen yesterday with a new "sauces and dips" cookbook. Whizzed up orange hummus, basil pesto, chilli and tomato pesto. Enjoyed the packaging part the most, so in love with my vintage stamp set.

Lust
Spotted these Bertoia chairs in an antique shop in Wynberg, only R4500 for 4. Only problem is I have nowhere to put them...need bigger home for pretty chairs.

Woodstocking
Today my car broke down. Again. So I had to foot it around Woodstock, always a great place to get inspired/stuck. Found an amazing shop that makes horse saddles and other leather pieces. Going to design my dream-come-true leather laptop bag with just the right number of pouches and zips for all my tools. Look at the cute initials and surname below A.W. Dear. Aw dear...
Also found these gorgeous melamine chairs, bargained the owner down to R500 for all 3. Now just have to find R500...
And my no 1 browsing shop: Kwaai Lappies where they have like, kwaai stuff.
